HOT CHILE-BEEF DIP

1 lb. ground beef

1 small onion, chopped

1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce

1 (8 oz) jar picante sauce

½ cup commercial hot taco sauce

1 tablespoon chili powder

1 (4 oz) can chopped green chilies, drained

¼ tsp salt

1 cup (4 oz) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese

Cook ground beef and onion in a large skillet until beef is browned, stirring to crumble

meat; drain off pan drippings.  Stir in next 6 ingredients.  Spoon mixture into a chafing

dish; sprinkle with cheese.  Serve with tortilla chips.  Yield:  4 cups.
